RSL FLORIDA SOCCER CLUB
FINANCIAL AID GUIDELINES AND ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
It is the mission of RSL Florida to provide the youth of Florida a premier, competitive soccer club devoted to the principles of good conduct, superior sportsmanship and a focus on player development where all players are welcome regardless of race, nationality, religion or socio-economic status. In keeping with this mission, limited opportunities are available for Financial Assistance to pay for club dues. All financial assistance is need based, not talent based. (Team dues will not be affected and can be off-set with team fundraisers.)
Eligible and deserving youth soccer players must qualify for assistance from another government or school agency and provide documentation. Examples would be:
Ø Free or Reduced School Lunches
Ø Food Stamps
Ø Social Security Income
Ø Medicaid
Ø Foster Care Dependant
Ø Aid for Dependant Children
Players must be enrolled in school. Players and/or their families are required to volunteer a minimum of ten hours per season to the club to off-set financial aid. Players attending Lanier or Monroe Schools may be given priority. Players who attain Honor Roll and/or Good Attendance in school will also be given preference.
To apply, complete the attached application (one per child) and attach documentation and verification of financial need. Copies of tax forms, receipt of government aid, letter from the Social Security Office or school are all examples of required documentation. APPLICATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED IN OUR OFFICE BY JULY 1ST.
RSL Florida will not use any information provided on the application for any purpose other than to determine financial need. All information related to the players’ identity will remain confidential to anyone other than the Finance Team and the Financial Aid Committee. The Financial Aid committee’s decisions are final and the amount of funding is limited to budgetary restrictions.
